Buttons

To complement the range of yarns Loch Sunart Yarns & Buttons also offers a wonderful range of buttons in shell and horn – all in natural colours and unusual shapes and sizes, and all from environmentally sensitive and ethical sources. The quality of these buttons will make all the difference when finishing off a garment.

For those of you who are able to visit my shop, I now also have an assortment of large one-off sea-washed slate, or wooden, feature buttons. These are only available sporadically from small suppliers but if you have a special project that needs a large button to make a statement, don’t hesitate to contact me to see if I have something that will fit the bill. For those of you further afield, I can happily email images of any of these buttons to you.

The horn and shell buttons shown on the website will give you an indication of the colours that they come in, together with the range of sizes available for each type of button and the prices. Please note that the true iridescent colours of most of the abalone buttons are, in reality, a more pronounced mix of blue/green/pink/silver than show up in the scanned images.

In you are at all unsure about any of the button colours, etc. (- you do get some variation from one button to the next due to them being a natural material), or you are trying to match up with a particular shade, again, please do not hesitate to telephone or email me to discuss any details.
