Welcome to Loch Sunart Yarns &
Buttons
Hand spun cashmere,
alpaca, camel down, rare breed sheep wool and silk blends
& natural shell and horn buttons.
Loch Sunart Yarns &
Buttons is located on the remote Ardnamurchan peninsula on
the West Coast of Scotland and commands a beautiful
position over-looking Loch Sunart.
Yarns
The business has been created to offer a range of exotic
hand spun natural fibre, natural hair and natural wool
yarns in a selection of natural colours. The yarns
are spun either 100% pure or with a blend of tussah or
mulberry silk, giving a beautiful sheen and texture.
The aim has been to produce an unusual
range of knitting yarns with which to create your
very own unique and individual knitwear. Of course,
you do not have to buy a large quantity of yarn –
many people often just use a few hanks for intarsia work,
combining the hand spun yarn alongside commercial knitting
wools to create a more unusual texture and design.
Buttons
To complement the range of knitting yarns Loch Sunart
Yarns & Buttons also offers a wonderful range of natural
horn buttons, predominantly made from stag horn and
buffalo horn, but also from ethically sourced natural
shell. The stag horn buttons and buffalo horn
buttons are all in their natural colours, with lovely
textured bark surfaces available on some, and in a range
of unusual shapes and sizes. The quality of these
natural horn and shell buttons will make all the
difference when finishing off a garment.
